Weightlifting

With a growing interest in Weightlifting amongst athletes at Gym66, it was decided to introduce a weightlifting club.  Weightlifting is a growing sport (thanks to Crossfit) and has been proved to increase athlete’s performance & goals whatever that may be; speed, agility, accuracy, strength… the list is endless!

Because of this Gym66 has introduced 2 lifting courses:

Beginners Course: 
Teaches you the progressions of the Snatch and the Clean & Jerk, as well as the accessory lifts, over 4 weeks period you can see how weightlifting can help you achieve your goals, whether you are looking to improve sporting performance, CrossFit, increase strength gains, or simply learn new skills, weightlifting can definitely broaden your training methods.

Intermediate Course:
The intermediate course has been set up to further develop your weightlifting skills and knowledge over 6 week period.  You will build upon the foundations of the beginner’s course taking a more in depth approach to weightlifting, analysing the lifts in more detail.  Therefore the courses are run in a small personal training environment where you will have the attention of our highly trained coaching team on a 1:3 ratio coach to athlete relationship.
